The UK Government has unveiled plans for a switch towards cleaner forms of energy, and away from fossil fuels and nuclear power.

The government White Paper encourages the use of renewable power, such as wind and wave energy, and energy efficiency in the home and office. The white paper aims to boost the portion of UK power generated from sources such as wind, tides and biomass to 20% by 2020.
